I flew from Dong Hoi to Saigon (or Ho Chi Minh City) with a domestic budget airline. The flight was quick and smooth and arrived in the largest city by population of Vietnam. This city was the capital of the Republic of Vietnam until they lost the war against the Communist dudes.
The place is as vibrant as Hanoi, Bangkok and all the other similar crazy places and the weather thank God is very hot. I didn’t have the proper clothes for Hanoi and Dong Hoi for this season and down here is amazingly hot: 35 degrees at day time and 25 at night.
I stayed in the Usagyiah Hostel in the heart of the city. The hostel is very nice and practical and owned by a Japanese guy, hence the name Usugyiah which means rabbit in Japanese. I met a lot of other nice travellers from Japan and became friends with 2 excellent dudes from Morocco: Omar and Jibril who we had a few beers with and loads of laughs. One of the Japanese girls explained loudly to her boyfriend where Hungary is: “Kokododarai!!!!!” I thought she’s gunna kill the poor guy with that word, but nothing bad happened.
I wish I could spend more time in Saigon. Perfect climate, loads of nice restaurants and modern skyscrapers. I loved it.
Traffic as expected was insane 🙂

Dong Hoibol Saigonba (vagy kommunista hiveknek Ho Chi Minh varosba) repultem egy belfoldi fapados jarattal. Gyors es konnyu ut utan megerkeztem Vietnam legnepesebb varosaba, amely a nehai Vietnami Koztarsasag fovarosa volt, amig a komcsik sajnos el nem naspangoltak oket a haboruban.
A hely ugyanolyan lukteto es energikus, mint Hanoi es Bangkok es a tobbiek es az idojaras nagyon kellemesen dogmeleg. Hanoihoz es Dong Hoihoz nem volt megfelelo ruhazatom, szoval orultem hogy vegre lehuztam a seggem delre. Homerseklet 35 fok nappal, 25 ejszaka, kb mint a tobbi eddig latogatott orszagban meg Vietnam elott…
Az Usagyiah Hostelben szalltam meg, amely a varos sziveben helyezkedik el es egy japan uriember tulajdonaban van, aki ezt a nevet adta neki: Usugyiah = nyul.
Itt is sok jo arcot ismertem meg. Volt itt sok utitars japanbol es 2 kurva jo fej srac Marokkobol (Omar es Jibril) akikkel sokat rohogtunk es par sort is eldurrantottunk. Azon berohogtem, amikor az egyik japan csaj meselte a pasijanak, hol van Magyarorszag: “Kokododarai!!!!!” Azt hittem epp halalraitelte ezzel az uvoltessel, de nem tortent semmi…
Bar tobb idom lett volna Saigonban. Tokeletes klima, sok jo etterem es sok felhokarcolo. Imadtam.
A forgalom termeszetesen nonszensz volt itt is 🙂
