#30 Gili Air & Gili Meno: Heaven On Earth 4.0 / Gili Air & Gili Meno: Foldi Paradicsom 4.0 (Indonesia / Indonezia)

The pilgrimage continued from Amed to another paradise. We took a 45 mins boat ride and went to see the Gili islands. These are 3 small islands very close to Lombok. Small and I mean it because the diameter of the largest one is 2.5 km 🙂 There are no mountains or hills on these pieces of lands, therefore the weather is always very sunny. The name of the 3 islands are Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air.

We skipped Gili Trawangan which is a party island, so not really for us. At first we went to Gili Air and the second day to escape the swarms of tourists we took a 20 mins boat and travelled to Gili Meno. Gili Air was also very beautiful and I am glad we met Herry the owner of Sapari’s beach bar there. His place is awesome!

Gili Meno was the perfect place for us. The atmosphere is very chilled, there are only dirt roads, untouched nature, beautiful white sandy beaches, snorkelling and diving opportunities and so on. Btw on all of the gilis you won’t find cars, travelling option is mainly horse-taxi, bicycle or on foot.

We spent 5 days on Meno and stayed in 2 top notch home-stays: the Diana Bungalows and the Villas Ganjor. Diana Bungalows is on the west side of the island and the bungalows are surrounded by a proper palm forest, Villas Ganjor is in the middle of the island and the owners are very very nice people. Diana’s owners are also awesome though. If you are at Diana’s, try the mixed pancake (grated coconut, pineapple, banana and choco-syrup).

We spent 5 fantastic lazy days with swimming in the 30 – 31 degrees ocean, reading books on white sandy beaches, watching the sunset and putting on weight thanks to the excellent Indonesian meals.

A zarandokut Amedbol egy masik foldi paradicsomba folytatodott. Haromnegyed oras hajokazas vart rank, hogy megnezzuk a Gili-szigeteket. Ez a 3 pici sziget Lombok kozvetlen kozeleben helyezkedik el. A picit szo szerint ertettem, mert a legnagyobb sziget atmeroje 2.5 km 🙂 Nincsenek hegyek illetve dombok ezeken a kis fold darabokon, igy az idojaras folyamatosan meleg es napos. A szigetek nevei: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno es Gili Air.

Gili Trawangant be sem terveztuk, mert az egy party-sziget amire nem voltunk tulzottan kivancsiak. Elso utunk Gili Air-re vezetett, ahonnan mar a masodik nap elszoktunk. Tul sok turista zsufolodott ossze ezen a szep kis szigeten, igy 20 perc alatt athajoztunk Gili Menora. Gili Air szinten gyonyoru volt es orulok, hogy megismertuk Herryt a Sapari Beach bar tulajdonosat. A barja es a beach nagyon kiraly!

Gili Meno volt a tokeletes hely szamunkra. A legkor kellemesen lusta, csak foldutak vannak, erintetlen termeszet, hofeher homokos strandok, sznori es buvar lehetosegek es a tobbi…Jut eszembe, egyik Gilin sem talalsz autokat. Utazasi opciok: lovas-taxi, bringa vagy gyaloglas.

5 napot toltottunk Menon, 2 szallashelyen. Mindketto uberkiraly home stay a Diana Bungallok es a Villas Ganjor. A Diana a sziget nyugati oldalan talalhato, es a bungallok egy rendes palma-erdore neznek. Villas Ganjor a sziget kozepen van es a tulajok nagyon nagyon rendes emberek. A Diana tulajai is kiralyok amugy 🙂 Ha Diana-ban szallsz meg, kostold meg a mixed pancake-et (reszelt kokusz, ananasz, banan es csokiontet).

5 felejthetetlen napot toltottunk itt strandolassal a 30 – 31 fokos oceanban, kony olvasassal a feher homolos beach-eken, naplementekkel es az indonez kajaknak koszonhetoen folyamatos tomegnovelessel.

Innentol jon a tura legexotikusabb resze, amint lesz idom jonnek a posztok. Addig is, kezeket a paplan fole!
